C4.004 - Old and Fresh NAION

Case not moderated.

64 yr old gentleman caomplained of painless blurring of vision in right eye on waking up in the morning 7 days earlier. He had hypertension not on any medication. He had Vertigo since 15 yrs on tablet Vertin
He had sudden painless visual loss in the left eye 12 yrs ago.
On examination,
BCVA RE 6/6 , LE 6/18
Colour vision-abnormal both eyes
Pupils - sluggish to light BE
BE pseudophakia
Blood test -- ESR 18 mm/ hr, CRP negative
Carotid Doppler - mild to moderate thickening in both the carotids, no occlusion
