C4.008 - Compressive Optic Neuropathy

Case not moderated.

56 year old lady operated for suprasellar meningioma came for a referral. She had a history of Headaches 3 month prior to neurosurgery. On examination her BCVA was right eye 2/60and left eye 6/9p. Color vision was abnormal in the left eye. There was a RAPD in the right eye. Fundus photo RE severe optic atrophy, CD 0.4, LE temporal disc pallor, CD 0.3. Retina normal both eyes.

MRI Brain with contrast (Axial, Coronal and Sagittal) shows a well defined, enhancing suprasellar mass lesion extending more to the right compressing the optic chiasm, also seen separate from the pituitary in the sagittal section.
